It's the Holiday Season!

Less than 2 weeks until Christmas! We have our trees up and decorated, Jay put up lights outside, and the majority of our other decorations up as well! St. Nick came 2 weekends ago (to Gramma's as well as to our house). We also went to Breakfast with Santa at the zoo that weekend - Kellen did not like sitting on Santa's lap!

Breakfast with Santa
(Poor Kellen!)

This past weekend we finished up the decorating and went on the Christmas train in East Troy. Ellison was pretty excited to be on a train with Santa! Also finished most of our shopping and started wrapping presents...that's going to be a nightly thing for a few days.
Santa snuck into our picture!

Kellen's 9 month pediatrician appointment went well. He weighed in at 18 lbs, 6 oz and was 29 inches long. 26th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Getting so big!!! Other than his sleeping issues, we had no concerns, so it was a quick appointment! We had to gate the stairs off this week because that little monkey can climb all the way up them.
As unbelievable as it is that Ellison is going to be 3 in a couple months, it's coming quick and that means starting school next fall. I started looking into preschool programs a few months ago, and earlier this week we met with this principal at one of the schools. We really liked it, so hopefully everything works out and Ells will be attending there starting in August. I hope she loves school!!!

Ells has been doing LOTS of Christmas projects, although not nearly as many as I have bookmarked on my phone! Here's a few of them...
Christmas wreath (paper plate)
Christmas "fizzy science" - baking soda and colored food coloring
Painting with cookie cutters
Play Doh Christmas tree (there's a styrofoam cone inside)
Making cinnamon applesauce ornaments
Here's a collection of them - we also made Christmas cloud dough which is amazing!

Jay has been hard at work on the basement in hopes that it will be ready to use before the kids' birthdays. We are so excited about the idea of the kids having a playroom, plus some extra living space for us all and a more organized storage area. I'm anxious to see how it all turns out!

Here's some pictures of what our elf, Norman, has gotten into since he arrived. It's hard because I'm not home every night, so I had to figure out some things Jay could do without needing to dedicate too much time to it.

Only 10 days until Christmas - my next post will probably be after! This year has absolutely FLOWN by!
