Easter was a low-key holiday for us this year. The kids did get dressed up and got to hunt eggs, but we didn't do anything too crazy. Took lots of pictures, though!
We are really working on getting the little guy to walk. We definitely thought he would be walking before his 1st birthday, considering how early he crawled, pulled himself up, and started cruising the furniture. But he's super stubborn about it. We know he CAN stand unsupported, and he has taken a few steps here and there...but so far, he hasn't taken off and really started going on his own.
Kellen is a lot quieter than Ellison was at this point - he can't really get a word in, since she rarely stops talking - but he does have a few words. He says mama, dada, ball, this, that, and he will repeat yeah and bubba sometimes.
Ellison continues to be obsessed with horses and asks us almost every day if we can get one. She recently got a walking horse balloon that has been her new constant companion. She wanted it to sleep next to her bed (but eventually gave in to it being put into a "stable" in her room), she tries to feed it at meals, she washes it with a wet washcloth. I hope it doesn't pop any time soon because I don't even want to think about what would happen!
E had her first dentist appointment last week. She did a great job and had no cavities! She was excited about the cookie dough toothpaste they used, and all the free stuff she got. I was really proud of her!
I work 2 more days this week than have a week off, so hopefully we will have lots of pictures for me to post soon of us doing exciting and fun things!
