Kellen waves and even sometimes gives kisses. He is the sweetest little guy! He loves to be held and to snuggle. He's got a favorite buddy (little blue blanket with a dog head), which he absolutely loves. He's getting really good at walking with his walking toy and moves along furniture like a champ. I've seen him let go of one thing to grab hold of another - he's getting brave!
He also loves to climb stairs, climb up into Ellison's bed, try to climb into the bathtub and onto the couch...see a pattern?
His sleeping habits are getting better, and he is the BEST eater. He will eat anything we put in front of him - olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, fish...lots of things Ellison won't have anything to do with. I hope he stays this way, it definitely makes things easier at mealtime!
Ellison has been doing a lot of singing at the top of her lungs (usually Let It Go - her version is hilarious). If we are singing - we make up a lot of songs around here - she will sometimes chime in with her own lines. She is very emotional and can be quite the drama queen. Luckily she is adorable and says the cutest, funniest things! When she's not being dramatic, she's been very complimentary - she tells me I'm "her best" and says she loves us all the time. It's very sweet! She has been insistent on wearing "Dorothy pigtails" every day, and calls Kellen "Toto". So...she still loves the Wizard of Oz! She also loves horses and informs us of that fact multiple times a day. She will be starting gymnastics again this week, which I know she will be super excited about. She still talks about it all the time, even though she hasn't been in class since summer. She likes to play picnic, and pretend she is going to the zoo and Kids in Motion (like I said, her favorite places!). All of those things involve packing lots of things in lots of bags. She's got a great imagination!!!
The playroom is still a work in progress, but we have started to let the kids play down there. They seem to really like it! Will post more pictures when a few more things are finished!
Other things we've been up to lately...Ellison built a snowman with Daddy, we took a trip to Kids in Motion (Ellison's favorite place besides the zoo!), made our own play-doh, had a Frozen picnic (with hot chocolate and cookies) in our living room, played with snow in our house, started with a new childcare provider...keeping ourselves busy! I'm really excited to take Ellison to see The Little Mermaid in the movie theater this weekend. It will be fun to see it on the big screen again!!!
And here's some more pictures of everyday life!
