Happy SUMMER!

We've been busy! I have a long summer bucket list and because of work schedules, not a lot of time to complete it. Working every third weekend has definitely gotten old! The things we have already crossed off are a trip to the Botanical Gardens, Breakfast on the Farm, the kite festival, Bookworm Gardens in Sheboygan, the Tosa pool, and a beer garden (Scout Lake, but hopefully we will check out more). I know we won't get through my whole list, but I think it's a good start!

Kellen is almost 16 months old (tomorrow!). Not sure where that time has gone. He is currently obsessed with books - there are 5 or 6 that he will bring to us multiple times a day to read to him. Luckily, Ellison knows most of them, so she can "read" them to him! Kellen's 15 month stats were: 31.75 inches tall (70% tile), 19.3 inch head circumference (95% tile), and 22 lbs, 1 oz (38% tile). He weighs almost as much as Ellison!
K-man had yet another ear infection at his 15 month appointment (the fourth since February) and was put on his third different antibiotic. We had an ear check last week and...NO ear infections!!! Finally! Hoping we are done with them for awhile. Like, maybe forever.
Kellen loves being outside. He will stand by the door and whine, waiting to go out. He gets so excited when he realizes we are putting his shoes on and going out. He also absolutely LOVES animals. I didn't think we would be able to get him out of the petting zoo tent at the farm breakfast we went to. He is starting to talk more (including the dreaded NO) which is fun!!!
Ellison's big things right now are drawing animals and writing. She spends a lot of time at her desk making pictures and then excitedly bringing them over to tell us about them. It's pretty cute! She is also into coloring again, and of course books. She is loving Mommy's new job as a book lady. Whenever the door bell rings or I go to get the mail she asks if there are books. She also tries to spend the extra money coming from Usborne - last week she said we could use it to buy a dog. Thanks for trying to spend mom's hard-earned money, kiddo! (we will not be buying a dog)

The book business is going pretty well so far. I had a great first month and earned some free stuff, so I was happy with that! I also just finished up a book drive for Ronald McDonald House which went amazingly well thanks to a lot of generous donations. With the 50% match from Usborne and my commission, I was able to purchase over $1500 of books!!! They shipped out yesterday so I'm expecting them to come early next week, and then I'm planning on taking the kids with to deliver them. I want them to learn about charity and giving to others, and I figure this is a good place to start!
I am looking for Usborne party hosts, and new team members - if anyone who reads this is interested. Parties are so easy for the hostess - it can all be done online! And there is an amazing deal for people who join right now - it only costs $55 for a consultant kit, which contains 10 top-selling books! If you want more information, please contact me. This is something that can be done anywhere, you don't have to live near me!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July!!! God Bless America!
