15 Months Old!

It's already the middle of May?! It is SO crazy how fast the past 15 months have gone. Ellison is loving the nice weather and would probably live outside if we let her. She will hand us our shoes and sunglasses, stand by the front door pointing out, and get so excited when we ask if she wants to go outside. She yells, "YEAH!" We have been taking walks on the nice days to the park near our house, and her favorite thing to do there is point out all the "diddies" (doggies) and wave at them. If they actually come close to her she squeals in delight! So cute :)

Waiting to go outside...

Ells has her first sinus and (double) ear infection this week. All three of us got sick and it has not been fun, but she is a real trooper. I wouldn't have even taken her in to the doctor if my ears hadn't been hurting, because hers didn't seem to be bothering her. Other than some fevers 2 weekends ago, a runny nose, and a little cough, she really didn't act sick at all. But apparently she is, so she is now on antibiotics for the first time. She doesn't seem to mind amoxicillin (tastes pretty good if I remember correctly). To prove that she felt just fine, she did a somersault on the day she got diagnosed. I haven't been able to get her to duplicate that feat yet...

Ellison is now a champ at walking and has been trying to jump. She doesn't actually lift her feet off the ground, just kind of swings her arms, so it's really funny! She climbs on and off the couch. She has been going up the stairs for months, but now she knows how to go down too. She still babbles constantly and says words we understand here and there (cheese, uh oh, yeah, and a few more). She definitely understands us (though she doesn't always listen to us). She can eat well with a fork and tries to use a spoon, which is not always super successful. She begs for our food at meals even if she has the exact same things in front of her, and she likes to clink cups with us and say "cheers!".

She is still teeny tiny - 18 lbs, 11 oz at her visit to the doctor this week. We are not worried, she eats great and loves to drink milk! They didn't measure her height at the doctor or give us a percentile for her weight, since it was a sick visit. Her well baby appointment is next week. I assume she will continue to hang out on the low end of the weight chart (our pediatrician doesn't give super exact percentiles like some place apparently do, and honestly, I don't think it matters) and the high end of the height chart. She's been pretty consistent (according to the charts) for weight since her 6 month appointment and height since her very 1st pediatrician visit!

I was supposed to work on Mother's Day, so we had plans to go out to breakfast the next day. I ended up sick in bed on Sunday and Monday (this is a nasty cold going around!) so we didn't get to go. Hopefully this weekend we will get to! My gift was a sweet card with Ellison's handprints in it and money for a "mommy/daughter shopping spree"! We made special cards for E's grandmas and great grandmas, but I don't want to post them yet since not everyone has gotten theirs!!!

Only picture of us on Mother's Day...haha

Better mama-daughter pic (we can pretend it's from Mother's Day...)

More pics from the last few weeks...

She gets into some interesting sleeping positions...

Loves putting coins in her banks

Cookie! (she calls them caca)

Hmm...don't think that's how you're supposed to sit on there!

She loves taking all the container lids out and arranging them...hopefully that means she will be more organized than her parents!

Look at all those teeth!

It is nearly impossible to get her to take these monthly pictures...I did my best!
