We are moving! Less than a week until the big day. This whole process has been pretty crazy. It took us a long time to find "the" house, but since we found it, everything has moved so fast! I honestly cannot believe we actually have our very own house. Still unreal to me. We walked out of the law office after the closing and I just thought, holy cow, we really own a home?! We are SO grown up now :)

Bay window in kitchen
Living room (it's not green anymore!)
Spare bedroom (tree stays for now...haha)
Ellison's room...paint being worked on and will be carpeted
Moving itself is a stressful process for me. You would think I'd be used to it considering I moved 8 (or was it 10?) times in my first three years of college - including to California and back - but I still dread it! We were up north for four days last week, and didn't have a whole lot packed before we left. We came back on Tuesday and the closing was Wednesday. Thursday I started a 4 night stretch of work. When I left for work it hit me that we were moving in 9 days, and I have to work 6 of them! Considering 2 of the 3 days I don't work I'll be tired from working the night before, I maybe have one good day of packing in me. Luckily, Jay has been amazing throughout this whole process. He went over to the house after work over the weekend and (with the help of the fabulous Ron and Ryan) got the taping done and started painting. He has also been the one doing all of the packing, and has started taking stuff over a little at a time. I am lucky to have such an amazing husband!

Master bedroom (they had the right color walls and curtains, yay!)
Walk-in closet
Full bathroom in our room
Our yard! Ellison loves it
Laundry area...basement is unfinished but there's some counter space and cabinets!
Half bath in the basement
I'm a little worried about how Ellison will handle the move. She always seems to have a little harder time sleeping and eating when we are gone from home (she was waking up during the night while we were up north, and barely eating anything). I pray it won't be too hard of an adjustment for her. One big difference from being up north is that she will have all of her stuff in the new house, so hopefully that will help! We have some other big adjustments on the horizon for her in the next few months - I have goals of transitioning her to a toddler bed and weaning her off her "uk" (pacifier) before she is two - so maybe this will be a good test!
"Helping" pack (for up north, not the move!)

Speaking of Ellison, she has been learning new words like crazy and keeping us entertained with her antics. She is a funny little girl!!! I have been horrible about taking pictures of her recently because she doesn't sit still, EVER. I used to make sure I took at least one a day, and lately it has just not been happening. Kind of bums me out. We did get new pictures taken at the beginning of July, I'll post a few of them at the end of the post. I love how they turned out. Ellison is having 18 month pictures taken in a few weeks, too, so at least we will have good professional photos since we haven't been taking as many of our own!
She still loves to play with laundry!
Ells is still obsessed with her zoo animals, she loves to line them all up. Then once they are all set up how she wants them, she will transfer them a few at a time to a new location. I'm pretty sure she could do that for an entire day. She sometimes let us help her line them up, but gets frustrated if we don't do it exactly how she wants. Like I said, funny girl!
Last day of daycare with Christina was last week. I think Ellison will miss her, and her kids! We are very sad to lose Christina to the "working world". She was fabulous with our little lady. Ellison did go to her new daycare once so far, and it sounded like she had a good time. There's a lot more kids, and they are all pretty close to her in age, so hopefully she will make lots of new little friends! She will be going twice a week most weeks in August so hopefully she will get used to it pretty quick.

Those are the highlights from Miller land! We will post more pictures of the house once we are settled in!!!
