April Already?!

Happy April! Hope everyone had a happy Easter! Unfortunately, I spent most of mine sleeping and at work. I did stay up until Ellison and Jay got home from church, so I got to see Ells all dressed up in her Easter dress, and watch her look in her Easter basket. She loved pulling everything out and opening up the eggs and dumping the treats out! She got a new sippy cup, a book, wind up bunny, sunglasses, a sun hat, a coloring book, crayons, cookie cutters (she loves playing with them!), and treats in her eggs (goldfish, puffs, animal crackers, and yogurt drops). I hid a couple of the eggs and helped her find them, which she loved! She also got Easter baskets from Gramma Janis and Grampa Ron, and from Uncle Nathan and Aunt Shell. Plus other candy and goodies from her other aunts and uncles, PLUS an Easter egg hunt with her cousins at Grandma and Grandpa Miller's!!! What a lucky little lady!!! Her and Jay spent the day with the Miller clan in Valders while I slept before work. I'm sure she had lots of fun playing with her cousins!

Ellison met the Easter Bunny at the mall this year. She apparently did not appreciate him! My mom took her and said she was waving to the bunny before and after, but just did not want to be close to him. I think the picture is priceless! I'm sure she will get a kick out of it someday.

Today is Opening Day! Even though Jay and I LOVE the Brewers (and tailgating!) and used to go to tons of games, we aren't really planning on taking Ellison until she is old enough to sit still for the majority of a game. So this year we probably won't make it to many games (last year I went to one game and Jay went to two...in previous years we had a 10 pack of tickets and went to additional games on top of that...I think my most ever was 30+ games 4 or 5 seasons ago). But we will watch on TV regularly and wear our Brewer gear!!!

Hopefully it will start to warm up soon and we can get outside. I get some pretty awful cabin fever in winter (I don't think I was built to live in this climate!) so I am eagerly awaiting spring. I think Ellison is too...

When can we go outside?!

Now that Ellison has figured out walking, she is moving on to saying more words! Some of them are mama (finally!!!), ok, yeah, uh oh, some animals (kitty cat, cheetah), bubble, and more! It also sounds like she says I love you sometimes!!! She still mostly says dada though. That is definitely her favorite thing to say (along with what's that). She is also working on high fives and making the "number one" sign with her finger. And for the first time tonight, she actually folded her hands for prayers when Jay asked her to. What a good girl!!! She's learning new things so fast it's hard for me to keep up...

This coming weekend we are heading to Manitowoc for a birthday party for Ellison's oldest cousin, Logan! He is turning 6! He was born the same week Jay and I started dating, can't believe it's already been six years (tomorrow!!!). Glad I get to go along this time! I'm sure there will be pictures so stay tuned!

Other recent pictures...

The girl loves food! Christina (at day care) says Ellison is the best eater she has ever had! There are very few foods she won't eat...peppers, mashed potatoes, and hard-boiled eggs are the only ones I can think of!

Ellison seriously loves this plastic bin...she is always crawling in and often bringing things along with her!

Most beautiful girl in the world!!!

Part of Ellison's mess today...I couldn't get it all in the picture!
